We knew that today might see the worst weather of our trip so we had decided to visit Barter Books https://www.barterbooks.co.uk/ in Alnwick. What an amazing second hand book shop this is and it has a model railway above the bookshelves and is dog friendly! We had a good look round and also enjoyed a drink and snack in the café.
