Tuesday 27 August: Craster and Alnwick

We knew that today might see the worst weather of our trip so we had decided to visit Barter Books  https://www.barterbooks.co.uk/ in Alnwick.  What an amazing second hand book shop this is and it has a model railway above the bookshelves and is dog friendly!  We had a good look round and also enjoyed a drink and snack in the cafĂ©.

 When the showers had stopped we had a walk along the coastal path to Dunstanburgh Castle which we all, especially Harris, enjoyed.  Then it was home for dinner and a relaxing evening and an early night.
