Friday 23 August

We set off in what we thought was good time but were plagued by roadworks and sped restrictions all the way. However we did eventually arrive at Summer Rose cottage in Craster in good time for our Asda delivery and got unpacked. The rest of the family arrived soon afterwards.

We went out for a short walk down to the harbour near and had a drink at  in the pub before heading back for pizza and bed.

Our place is where it says 'Hightide Barn', except that it isn't Hightide Barn any longer.

The Jolly Fisherman is the only pub in the village (and is very expensive!). This is the outdoor area and also part of the Northumberland Coastal Path, one of many long-distance walks in the UK
